Dr. Sohail Sarang, Postdoctoral Researcher in the GRETA–EIC Pathfinder project, presented a paper on “Textile-Based Green Energy Assisted UHF RFID Tag with Enhanced Read Range” at ICCE 2026, held in Dubai, UAE, from February 3–5, 2026.

The paper introduced a textile-based passive UHF RFID tag that integrates flexible solar cells and a thermal energy harvesting source to increase the available power at the tag. This hybrid energy source significantly extends the tag’s read range, marking a key step toward flexible, long‑range RFID solution for next‑generation wearable IoT applications.
